Tyler Hall Obtains $800,000 for Client

RAM Law attorney, Tyler Hall, obtained $800,000 for a client who was injured when his vehicle was rear ended by a truck in Middlesex County, New Jersey. The client suffered a herniated disc in his low back requiring hospitalization and the implantation of a permanent spinal cord stimulator to reduce his pain. Over the course of his life, the client will need 5-7 surgeries to replace the battery for the spinal cord stimulator. The defendants agreed on the cost for the future surgeries and that amount was factored into the settlement.

The settlement was also possible because the trucking company destroyed evidence needed to establish the weight of the truck which is relevant to determining the force of the impact. As a result, the judge granted RAM Law’s request for a spoliation charge which would have allowed the jury to assume that the destroyed evidence was unfavorable to the defendants’ case.
